How does my screen time get from the iPhone to Screenshame?
Apple hands screen time to another app only through the Shortcuts app. You add our Shortcut once and set up an automation in Shortcuts that runs it every time you open Screenshame (on iOS 27 also when a notification from Screenshame arrives); it then hands the day's totals to Screenshame. This needs iOS 26, because the action it relies on does not exist below that.
How does it work on Android?
You switch on usage access for Screenshame in your phone's settings. After that the app reads the record Android keeps itself of how long each app was on screen.
Why does somebody show as stale?
Stale means no reading has come from that phone for a while. On the iPhone that is almost always because the automation in Shortcuts did not run, on Android because usage access is switched off again. Somebody who is stale holds no rank, so that going quiet cannot win.
How do I report a message?
Press and hold the message in the chat, choose Report, then a reason. The operator sees the reported message and your reason; the other side is not told that you reported it.
How do I block somebody?
Block is on a person's profile, and on the board by pressing and holding. After that the two of you see nothing of each other, and an existing friendship ends with it. If you share a group, you both stay in it, and neither of you sees the other on its board or in its chat; an admin of the group can still remove the person.
An account belongs to somebody under 16
Write to us at the address above and name the username. We demand no proof for it. We disable and delete such an account.
How do I delete my account?
In the app under "You", "Delete account", with a confirmation. The route without the app, and the list of what is deleted, are on the Delete your account page.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Write to us at the address above. You get your data in a common machine readable format, within one month. There is no button for it in the app yet.
